Maroon 5 visits Colombia

On November 20th, 2008, Maroon 5 visited Colombia. And I had the opportunity to watch their performance. Maroon 5 is an amazing band, and I love them. It was my first concert, therefore I was really excited. I went with my sister, my cousin and my father. The show was going to be held on the coliseum "El Campin". I wanted to have a good place at the concert, so I went early in the morning to queue. I missed that day to school, and my sister missed college, so we went to queue. We used Transmilenio, to get there. My father had to work that day, so we kept his place in the line. I was really anxious. I had lunch there, and when it rained I had protection.

At 5:00 p.m. my father arrived. And more or less at 7p.m. the doors opened, and we ran to get to our seats. The opening act was in charge of a band from Colombia, called "El Siete". It was cool, but too long, I was just waiting for Maroon 5. After this band end their performance, the lights went on, and the stuff was getting everything ready, with all Maroon 5 instruments. That was about 30 minutes, but to me it was about 1 hour. From the moment the lights went off, everything had changed, Maroon 5 was on stage, and the only thing I did was scream over and over again. They started with "This Love", the sang from all their albums, since "Songs about Jane", to "It won't be soon before long". Adam Levine, the vocalist, spoke in Spanish and thanked everyone for the response to their show.

I loved the show. It was a great experience, and I do not regret going. I am happy that artist that I like are performing in Bogota, I wish many other artists come. I hope Maroon 5 visits Colombia again. Remember that they have already their new album on stores, called "Hands all over", with a bunch of new fantastic songs.

Sport Places Articles

Have you ever heard about Capital Classic? Do you know which teams play on this match? Have you ever gone to one? In this article I will tell you my experience of going to this match.
That Sunday 19/09/10 I went out of mi house at 4 pm, I went by Transmilenio with my brother and my parents. When I arrived at the stadium it was late I arrived at 5 pm the match started at 5:30 unfortunately we had to sit at south-east at one side of the radio cabins, this didn’t let us see god the north part of the soccer field.  There were many people of Santa Fe which occupied South and a 70% of east, and all south was occupied by “La Guardia Albirroja Sur”, the west part of the stadium is closed because a remodelation; From Millionarios were not too many people “los comandos azules” and the “blue rain”. It was a nice to support Santa Fe by shouting, some of the shouting’s were: “y dale y dale y dale rojo dale”, “Para la b Para la b Para la b, millos se va Para la b” there were many more. Millionarios fans didn’t make too much noise. The first part of the match was so intense with many opportunities to Santa Fe and some to Millionarios, at the second part with the entrance of Rodas Santa Fe could easily control Millionarios, making 2 goals. The match ended in a peaceful way without any disturb.
It is a very good experience to go to the stadium, if you like soccer it would be great. So what are you waiting to go to the Campin?

Would you like to go to an international match here in Bogotá? You can do it by seeing Santa Fe in the “Copa Nissan Sudamericana”. I went to the match Santa Fe vs. Caracas F.C and I will tell you my experience.

The sixteen of September of 2010 which was Thursday I went to the Nemesio Camacho el Campin. That day I arrived 2 hours before the match begin, at the entrance of the stadium policemen checked me 3 times, this make stadium a very safe place. I entered and took a good place in north-east there I had a very good perspective of the field. When Santa Fe entered to the field, Santa Fe fans made a big reception with color fog and a huge applause. Instead of Bogota’s anthem the Colombian anthem was played there all the stadium sang it loudly. The match started, the first half was bad Caracas controlled Santa Fe and maked a goal. In the second half Santa Fe rebirth and played really well making two goals, the final result was 2-1. Another important international matches will be played in the Campin in the under 20 2011 world cup.

So what are you waiting to see god soccer, have a good time, see new things? just buy your tickets and go to the Campin!

Do you know when and who designed Nemesio Camacho el Campin? The name comes from camping, in the area in which the stadium is today before they practiced camping. In this article I will tell you many interesting facts about the Campin.
The Campin was designed by Federico Leder Muller; the stadium was opened in 1938. This is the home stadium of Santa Fe and Millionarios. It has a capacity of 44000 people sited. In this stadium the 2011 under 20 world cup will be played. This place was also used as a place for concerts but in 2005 there was prohibited because they damaged the grass surface. Coldplay experience

Have you ever heard about a music group called Coldplay? Have you ever gone to a concert? Are you interesed in knowing what it feels like? Well, I am going to tell you about my personal experience, I am going to write about Coldplay concert in Bogota.

I have always been a fan of Coldplay. I remembered when my sister came into my room and told me that Coldplay was going to hold a concert in the capital. At first I couldn't believe it, it was going to be really exciting. When I told my mother how much I wanted to go, she told me that if the tickets were too expensive, I couldn't go. My sister and I checked every day in the web, for the prices. We were so scared, and excited. When, the prices were published in the web. My sister, father and me, bought the tickets, the same day. We waited for the glorious day. When it finally came, we couldn't believe it. It was not my first concert, but I was more excited than the first time. It was a lot of feelings. By those days Bogota was facing the most big transportation strike ever. The transporation strike had taken all Bogota, and it had cover almost a week. March 3rd, Coldplay arrived to Bogota. When I arrived from school, my sister, a cousin and me, went to Radison hotel to wait for them and ask for a photo, or just to see them, and tell them how grateful we were with them for coming to Bogota. We find out that in the Radison hotel, was staying only the stuff, so we took a taxi, and went fast to the hotel "Casa Medina" were the member of Coldplay were staying. We wait there, and wait, but they didn't come out. We were going to keep waiting but a group of taxis passed  protesting, so we had to go to our houses. Next day (the day of the concert), there was no school, for the strike, so we went to queue. I went with my father, and there we ate,and drank. We entered to the park of Simon Bolivar, at 5pm. At 6 p.m. the first group entered to stage "Estados Alterados", a colombian group. At 6:30p.m "Bat for Lashes" entered to stage. This group was nice, and was the group invited to all Coldplay concerts. Bat for lashes lasted 30 minutes on stage, and we waited for 1 hour. Everyone was desperate, but at 8:30 p.m. my heart stop beating, and I felt things I have never felt in my life...

Coldplay was on stage, and I couldn't believe it. It was definetly the best experience of my life. I was so excited, that my father thought I was not going to make it through the end. I was completely in love with Chris, Guy, Will and Johnny. I sand all the songs, and forgot about everything and everyone. There is a song called yellow, and when they perfomed that one, the stuff realeased yellow balloons. In the performance of "Strawberry Swing" there were butterflies of all colors in the sky, and the last song "Life in Technicolor II" there was fire works. I laugh, I shouted, I cried, it was the best experience so far. I invite you to listen to Coldplay music and find out more things about Bogota events, because you wont regret attending to a concert.
